Welcome to Phnom Phen.. Kampuchea..
When you enter the arrival gate, you will notice long line of immigration officers sitting in the counters.. So, I'm processing my visa.. go meet the other counter first, fill up the visa form.. and come back again. First line officer asked me to wait at the payment counter just at the end of the line immigration officers sitting. There about 10 officers sitting.. then my passport moving from one officer checking, passover to another officer.. hehehe.. see.. quiet length.. u know.. then goes to the last one.. 20USD please.. eventually I paid and got my stick visa in my passport.. Welcome.. to Phnom Phennnn I told myself.. as did'nt hear that greeting from them.. hehehe.
Now I'm writing this blog from my friends NGO's place - SRMCDO. They are very nice.. They pick me up from the airport PP, then bring me to the Bang Keok Mosque, a big mosque near my guest house where I stayed before. There at the Muslim restorant we have our good fasting breaking and have nice mamamiyah foods there.
After that, we went to his home town called Joy May Tray village in Kandal province. It is about 40km from PP, less than one hour trip, many moslem community there. Unfortunately we arrived at nite, so can't really see the scennery, but I saw some typical poor household without any lights at the home. Because the electric prepared by the generator, where they need to pay.. then no money to pay make the world dark .. dark dark.. I observed one lady carrying the baby in the darkness.. hmmm. They also has big pot for water, some kids taking shower just beside on the road.. hmmm... cool hah...
Then we go to Kampong Thorm, the road no.6 to drive through Seam Reap.. Kampong Thorm city look better. At nite drives not so many things to see, didn't see any temples as well :) hehhee.. and I felt asleep.. on the way to Seam Reap. About 12.30 am we arrived at his place.. then I woke up and sitting a while in the terrace. Looks his economic quiet good, Muslim community in Seam Reap.. much better then in his hometown.. in my observation and as their confirmation also.
At 4pm, we took our late dinner for fasting (sahur meal).. the rice is best.. hot, and got some squids, vegetables, fishes, and beef.. really really good.. and I'm not worried about the "HALAL" mark .. hehehe. So, after praying Shubuh, I did my walking, small jogging until the Seam Reap town, near the Grand Seam Reap hotel parks.. then.. come back.. home. Now about 3hours already I'm online.. I need some rest..
I have my nap about 3hours.. huh huh.. I slept so much like never enough.. huh huh.. I didn't read any journal yet for my Research proposal writing.. aha.. I'm so lazy..
A friend told me, that today we will have our Iftar, breaking fasting meal near small praying room at the floating village.. in Phnom Khorn.. well this will be another blog.. txs..

Goodbye Poi Pet (Seam Reap)
Get ready to say goodbye to cheap warm friendly city like Seam Reap..
I woke up early and prepared for my trip to Poi Pet, the border at cambodian side to Thailand border (Aranya Prathet). I took my breakfast at the moslem small resto that no so far from the mosque. I finished my tasteful chicken rice for only 1.25USD.
Walking further to the Capitol bus stand which located around the old market. It's not far and walking distance only from my guest house. I bought my ticket from Seam Reap to Poi Pet for 3.5USD, other ticketing agents will sell the price in between 5-7USD. I make some poses of photos before living the cheap and friendly city of Seam Reap.. hmm.. I felt kindly sorrow to leave this lovely city.. but I should moving forward into my tight jouneys' schedule.
The trips from Seam Reap to Poi Pet taking about 3-4hours. The road is smooth and well constructed. The bus stopped about 2-3times depend on the driver's mood ;)It is beautiful morning and the weather nice today. We arrived in Poi Pet around 11.30am. The bus stopped in the corner spaces of customs office. I get ready to get down of the bus and passed through the immigration counter office... I whispering goodbye Seam Reap.. welcome red shirt Thailand ;)
Although the situation in Bangkok a little hot for the red shirts grouping protest.. but I have not enough scare. Keep walking and getting through the Aranya Prathet the border of thailand.. stamps my passport in the immigration, smilling to take photos.. and here we are.. Welcome Stranger to Thailand... again I'm uttering...

Eating "Pontir Cone" mamamiyah lezato..
Baby Chicks
It is a white round egg, curtly look it is a normal boiled egg. The local people call it "Pontir cone". Don't be amaze when you break it, a young pity baby chick begging to travel inside your stomach.. eat me, eat me.. eat me please :)
It's a common consumption for supper or brunch in Cambodia. You can find Pontir cone in a town, downtown, country side and village. Mostly Khmer people like to consume the baby chick in half or quarter cooked. I made some shoots photos of the seller, and the way they eat it. Eating the sad baby chick believed to give more energy in sex power. Who said? :)
Pontir cone served hot and fresh for 4-5 eggs in one plate accompanied by some fresh salad, lemon and sauce. How is the Khmer people way eating the baby chick?
1. One egg put on the egg place.
2. Crushing the peak skin of the egg.
3. With small spoon take out the baby chick into the sauce plate, mixed them and they ready to landing in your tasteful mouth.. hmmm... mamamiyah lezato..
4. They eating all pieces of the baby chick, the eyes, head and feathers as well as the legs . They leave nothing but the hard skin of the egg.
5. nyam nyam .. mamamiyah lezato.. the baby chick landing in your stomach.. then the eating process done.
Hhmm.. what you think blogger ? Does it sounds like They have no animal being feeling yeah? The Chicks animal lovers should banned and bring this Pontir Cone issue to International Chicks Animal Lover Protection Act (ICALPA) :) macam betul aja bokkkkk
