ONE Month later from Afghan to Jakarta!

One month being holiday after completing my assignment with CADG.. I spent days in Indonesia - Medan and Jakarta. Meeting family's members, and some old friends in Medan.

As I arrived in JKT's airport, I was waiting for my next flight to Medan. I use the airport lounge facilities from my cards.. see how nice and powerful is this plastic card! I can have some relaxing time there after 12hours on flight, emailing, eating and drinks some nice food.

I was checking my FB, and ym.. and chatting with my exs colleagues. She said her organization now looking for an employee, so asked me if I'm interested to rejoint them. It is USAID's funding project also called SAFE.. I directly said that I do do DO DO.. yes.. I'm interested.. Thanks.. friend.. you are the HEROIN.. :) hehehe

She still don't believe that and think that I'm joking to rejoint them. I told them that I am seriously finding the new jobs now and that I will be happy to rejoint DAI again. Next to show how interested I am, I sent my update CV's and application.. to the manager! Next things to do is need to wait.. if the donor agreed to re-hired me.

It's take about 2-3 weeks to get the approval, eventually the donor approved, and asked me when I would like to start to work! I said 1st November will be great time for me! Then I still have some lazy times and preparation for back to work in the amazing city JAKARTA.

One month over now, so fast, so I'm already get employed to new project called "SAFE".. to be SAFE you may joint our project.. SAFE projects.. :) :)

I am Welcoming myself to amazing JAKARTA.. and said good bye to the unforgettable Afghanistan.. Laskhar Gah.. Nimroz.. Kandahar and Kabul... all those place still in my mind.. and the lovely Afhan's people.. part of my hearth still there.. I'm not fully in Jakarta.. though..

Hehehe.. gilaaaaaaaaa! crazyyyyyyy.. Lebanee.. .. how come I am missing there!! I just prays and hope that all the peoples in Afghanistan to be SAFE also.. Insya Allah!

My Breakfast - Lontong Medan

Wow.. I'm eating a lot in Medan.. Though Medan is the heaven foods and always make me hungry .. lapar lapar.. Many type of delicious food in Medan.. from Bakso, Lontong, Mie.. etc etc. I have my breakfast of Lontong Medan, just around SMU1 at Cik Ditiro street.

There are many streets vendors selling Lontong around there. I stopped a while and order my breakfast and my tounge start dancing dancing, enjoying the delicious Lontong Medan. Hmm I am eating a lot this morning, after having some bubur kacang hijau, lupis at my friend's warung.. then now.. Lontong sayur, telur and ice tea.. still hungry .. huh huh .. what's next ?? bakso I had planned to have it later in the afternoon for snacks :)

Why do I eat so much in Medan hmmm.. Though because the foods are wonderful palatable taste and the price is reasonable cheap! In addition most of my friends and family complaining that I look loosing my weight :) I don't know, if I'm getting thinner or they are just growing and gaining their weight :).. Whatever it is.. I enjoying the foods while back home! Also the home cooks that prepared by my sis and sis in laws.. all of them invited me to eat eating eating at home! See how wonderful it's having many family, relatives and friends.. Now I back already to Penang and Penang's buddies told me that I gained my weight.. aha.. so eating a lot in Medan is wonderful working.. :) That's COOL.

Be Freedom @ Merdeka Field - Medan

Horas Medan...

My fourth days in Medan, finally I can managed to find free wifi connection in Medan @ Merdeka Walk. What do I feel after so long not connected ?? hmm.. felt like empty yeah ? neahhh.. felt just like usual.. Though..

I took my flight with Lion airlines from Penang to Medan.. Thanks God, many budget air flights now from Malaysia to Indonesia, and the price considered reasonable from what I got. Going back to my hometown in Medan, and make my walk to the famous busy field in the hearth of Medan @ "MERDEKA field".

At almost 5 pm this afternoon, the activity here quiet busy. Some peoples doing afternoon walking, jogging, got Rock climbing arena, volley ball and football.. hmmm good GOOD GOOD.. and not forgetting the streets vendors inside the fields trying to make some living by selling foods and drinks around the field.

Some students from the Medical USU, approaching me, to sell some snacks for fund rising for the poor people in a districts.. wow.. excellent.. positives value for USU students.. for their conserning with some marginals people. Young young students..future leaders for bright Indonesia, would they be ?? hmmm.. ?? Ask them :) hehehe.

Taking my favorite bakso just opposite the Merdeka field namely "Bakso Binaria". The taste still mamamiyah lezato.. good bakso.. I like it.. eventhough the price almost similar with franchising hygine fast food. Anyway.. I still find that great taste. So, I have my a bowl of Baso this afternoon, write my blog and waiting a friend here.
